Hell yes! Great letter. Youβre sure to get the jobβ¦β¦but not until βwe the peopleβ teach Bezos how this free market works. Once we all βquitβ Amazon heβll rethink his position! And it is possible, folks. Go to manufacturers on line. Shop at local stores. Better for everyone. How often do you need next day delivery? You can get βsame dayβ when you shop in person. If you just cut your Amazon use by 50% it would register big time with Bezosβs bottom line. He might have to sell one of his yachts to maintain his life style. Which is what exactly? We really do have the power if we just use it! βTry it, youβll like it.β
Unlike Charles Foster Kane, I don't think it would be fun to run a newspaper, but if only I had the money, I would buy one tomorrow to have the pleasure of hiring you to run it.
As a consumer, I would love to be able to subscribe to a newspaper where I was able to find the output of great journalists and artists all in one place (seems like only yesterday there were many from which to choose). Cobbling one together for oneself on a site such as Substack is a poor substitute (not the least because one tends to miss out on opinions which may make one think about one's own biases). In addition, paying individually for subscriptions to each writer one wishes to follow quickly becomes financially untenable (at least for those of us who cannot afford to run a newspaper ;) ).
Excellent! Especially the P.P.S.
