In case you missed the news earlier today, Jeff Bezos is now an expert in opinion journalism.
He is dramatically remaking the Washington Post’s opinion section: the only things allowed now will be the “two pillars” of pro-liberty and free market. (I’m a little confused about the free market part of his equation since President Trump is so big on tariffs, but I digress.)
Regardless, Elon Musk and Charlie Kirk are celebrating.
Apparently, if you’re a multi-billionaire, you instantly become an expert in everything.
Which now also means you become a craven Trump sycophant in a short-sighted attempt to keep your vast wealth machine humming along while democracy is being dismantled.
So since Bezos is looking for a “100% commitment” from an Opinion Editor, I thought I’d apply.
Here’s my letter to Mr. Bezos:

Hell yes! Great letter. You’re sure to get the job……but not until “we the people” teach Bezos how this free market works. Once we all “quit” Amazon he’ll rethink his position! And it is possible, folks. Go to manufacturers on line. Shop at local stores. Better for everyone. How often do you need next day delivery? You can get ‘same day’ when you shop in person. If you just cut your Amazon use by 50% it would register big time with Bezos’s bottom line. He might have to sell one of his yachts to maintain his life style. Which is what exactly? We really do have the power if we just use it! “Try it, you’ll like it.”
