I needed to get this cartoon out of my system before it becomes truly tasteless after something like this really happens.
Clearly, sending ICE agents to U.S. airports is not really about helping beleaguered TSA agents, it’s just another step on the path to numbing us to autocracy.
In case it wasn’t abundantly clear in Minneapolis, ICE is not focused on immigration and customs. It’s a government-funded militia focused on supporting Trump.
And now they’re in our airports.
The madness of Trump has brought us full circle: airport security is short staffed because Democratic lawmakers refuse to fund the Department of Homeland Security without reining in ICE — so Trump sets ICE loose on airports.
Revenge and the potential for violence, how very Trumpian.
Meanwhile, it appears that draconian personnel cuts and repeated government shutdowns may have an impact on safety at airports and in the skies.
It might be the time to just drive, if the price of oil isn’t currently at $120 a barrel.

I may be in the minority, but moving ICE thugs off of the streets and into the airports seems like a good idea to me. Probably lowers the rate of kidnappings and makes supporters see how they actually behave.
