The “dog that hasn’t barked” is still crying “hoax!”

I guess one positive note about a handful of Democrats caving to the Trumpists is that the Epstein Files are taking front and center stage again. (Even though Republican shutdown cruelty will persist, no doubt.)

Rep. Adelita Grijalva was finally sworn in, which is supposed to lead to a vote in the House of Representatives calling for the Department of Justice to release the Epstein Files.

Don’t hold your breath, though, first Trump is turning the screws on Rep. Lauren Boebert, trying to get her to remove her name from the “discharge petition.” (Read this for more explanation on the political wrangling.)

Then, the bill would go to the Senate, and then have to be signed by the Rapist Commander-in-Chief before it’s a done deal.

In the meantime, emails trickled out today and it doesn’t look good for Trump.

He is still calling his involvement a “hoax,” but it looks pretty damn clear based on the amount of reports we’ve heard over the years.

The question is: what will it take for Trump to face any consequences?

It might be time for some new signage on the White House. (Actually, it was already time.)

In case anyone had any doubt before, now it really, really, really, really looks like Trump knew — and even participated — in what was going on in the depraved world of Jeffrey Epstein. (The latest disclosures added approximately two (2) “reallys” to what we already knew.)

Trump is effectively playing the part of mob boss, from never writing anything down (except for a certain drawing he denies), to calling a special meeting to sway someone who may not vote the way he’d like.

It sure would be a shame if your political career went up in flames, correct, Lauren?

While it is fascinating and satisfying to see Epstein’s emails implicate Trump, the real files are with the Justice Department.

And under our current mob boss president, I don’t hold out much hope that his personal lawyers over at DOJ are going to risk angering the boss by releasing anything that implicates the Don.
