In this cartoon update:
Cartooning the latest Trump indictment quickly
Some brain science
Keeping the lights on
With the Defendant-in-Chief fighting Espionage Act charges in court, I wanted to turn around cartoons and animation quickly.
Like I outlined in this previous post, Iām experimenting with melding animation and single-panel cartoons ā mainly so I can get the message out as a collection of single images and as an animation.
The first thing that struck me was the ridiculousness of exactly where those classified documents were kept ā I wanted to see their path all in one image.
Then I wondered, what else has gone missing and taken a strange and dangerous path? Plus, this gave me a chance to research a little brain science . . .
This is a huge oversimplification as interpreted by a cartoonist, but it turns out our ability to reason resides in the frontal lobe of our brain.
The hypothalamus produces the fight-or-flight response, so it makes sense that what little reason Trump ever had migrated from his frontal lobe to his hypothalamus and eventually to the storage room by the pool, right?
Trump himself will have some things to say about all of this in the final animation but these single-panel cartoons will make up part of the animated video . . . thatās coming soon.
Now Iām off to finish the animation, stay tuned!
