Donald Trump loves people in the military . . . when they’re not losers, suckers, captured, wounded or dead that is.
You may have heard about the altercation at Arlington National Cemetery between cemetery representatives and Trump campaign staffers.
Trump wanted a nice campaign photo op in an area that is off limits but, according to Arlington Cemetery officials . . .
“Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate’s campaign.”
. . . so they pushed through and did it anyway.
Is there anything more Trumpian than breaking a federal law and muscling your way past people trying to preserve the sanctity of a place that honors fallen service men and women? (I’m sure there is, but this is in the top 5 at least.)
Can you be more of a soulless megalomaniacal cretin than to get in a fight with . . . Arlington National Cemetery?
It turns out you can!
You could have called people who sacrificed their lives for our country “suckers” and “losers.”
That’s bad enough, but to wrap yourself in faux patriotism and phony love of the military is beyond the pale . . . but of course not unexpected from Trump.
I guess we keep expecting the guy to actually respect the military he keeps talking so much about — but what he really respects is all their neat toys that would look so incredible and truly fabulous in a world-class, like, totally amazing Trump Parade.
Never mind, he was able to get a shot mugging for the camera giving his patented and truly uplifting thumbs-up over a headstone. Hooray!
Now, to show the respect that should be given — here is my talented nephew, Peter Walker, playing Amazing Grace at Quantico National Cemetery for Memorial Day.
And, since I’m no good on bagpipes, here is a little clip of me drawing the latest cartoon . . .
Thanks so much for following my cartoons and supporting my work!

Apparently, there are no limits. It still boggles the mind!
He makes me sick to my stomach. I have a question: I always heard that heart attacks were the biggest killer.... so how come.....
