Happy Indictment Day(s)!

Sometimes I just HAVE to draw a cartoon...

Now that Trump was indicted yet again (this time on federal charges), I just had to draw something quickly about the good news.

I know, it’s not particularly good news for our country we have to do this sort of thing, but maybe the Defendant-in-Chief will finally be held kinda’ sorta’ accountable.

Of course Trump is already fundraising off the news and playing the victim card — and Republicans are trying to shift attention to the “corruption” of the Department of Justice and that nasty, nasty FBI and after all, what about Hunter?!

This cartoon started with some scribbles in my sketchbook . . .

. . . that I then drew on a laptop.

And after a bit of color and text, I turned it into the finished cartoon you see at the top of this post.

I wanted to keep the drawing loose and a little more sketchy, you’ll notice I didn’t have any underlying pencil sketch.

Same with the color, I wanted to keep it simple and loose, at least on the Trump caricature.

On a related note, here is a little augmented reality experiment I did back when they raided Mar-a-Lago.

Now that Trump has been indicted twice (four times if you count two impeachments, which are basically indictments), here’s hoping for a conviction or several.
