Hello again, friends.
This week I’m giving us a little comic relief (okay, darkly comic) from the awfulness in the Middle East.
Although newly-anointed House Speaker Mike Johnson is a Republican clown, his actions and policies aren’t funny at all — and really can have an impact on what is going on in Israel and Gaza.
But first, let’s have some fun looking into what a nut Speaker Johnson really is . . .
Can you say “cartoonist’s dream?”
A cartoonist’s dream is the country’s nightmare, of course.
Here’s my scratch (rough) voiceover for the animation, which I’ve sent off to John Taylor, voice actor extraordinaire.
Keep your eyes peeled in the upcoming animation for some Mike Johnson anti-gay ridiculousness.
Just take whatever the most extreme right-wing positions are on LGBTQ+ issues and chances are, Johnson has delivered a very serious and godly speech about just that.
This may be sacrilege to the memory of Charles Schulz, but I just couldn’t resist . . .
