Here’s a cartoon I did earlier this week that I’ve been meaning to share.
The Stanford JSK fellowship has been keeping me busy, yesterday we wrapped up our orientation and now fledge the nest into the wider world of the university.
(Stay tuned for posts about everything from handmade prints to artificial intelligence and animation!)
In the meantime, here’s a cartoon about one of the most despicable humans on the U.S. political scene right now.
Sure, Donald Trump is bad, but at least he has the excuse of being a small-minded narcissistic sociopath.
J.D. Vance, on the other hand, is an allegedly smart guy who has made a decision to forsake any semblance of a conscience and attach himself to the aforementioned small-minded narcissistic sociopath.
. . . even if it means spreading hateful lies about people fleeing violence and chaos who are just trying to make a life for their families.
The term “Orwellian” gives Vance too much credit, he’s just a slimy politician who tries to spin his bald-faced lies into “creating stories.”
And in case you missed it, Vance has a new haircut.
Which is not that big of a deal, but for a visual person steeped in symbolism, I worry that it’s not just a bad haircut . . . but an in-the-know wink to right-wing white nationalist types.
Here’s hoping it’s just a bad haircut.
Thanks so much for following my work and for supporting the cartoons!
See you back here shortly,
-Mark
Love this, just when you think the man can’t possibly get any worse, he does. Thanks for staying on top of it.
Oh, that's a wink, definitely. Good catch (and good eye)!
