This week I’m drawing a few single-panel cartoons instead of creating an animation.
Sometimes there are just too many threads catching my eye and I like to get the cartoons to you quickly.
So, didja’ hear the one about the upside-down U.S. flag flying from a flagpole in front of Justice Samuel Alito’s house in the days after January 6th?
Yup, that’s a new gem that was just discovered.
But don’t worry, it’s his wife’s fault!
This sort of thing seems to be a common theme among the right-wing justices of the Supreme Court.
In case you forgot, Clarence Thomas’ wife, Ginni Thomas was a big supporter of Stop the Steal.
(But Justice Thomas is very ethical and completely impartial, trust him.)
Good thing there’s nothing before the court that relates to Donald Trump or the January 6th insurrection . . . oh, wait.
I had a lot of fun with the looser style of this cartoon.
My goal was to make those lines look like they are barely held together — trying to capture some of the rough sketch style that happens early on in most of my cartoons.
Here’s a little sneak peek into drawing this cartoon.
I’ll be back on Wednesday with some more cartoons — so far, I’m diving into Trump’s “unified reich” video. (Yikes, reich!)
Thank you SO much for supporting my cartoons, animated and otherwise!
See you back here shortly,
-Mark
